A brief history

Friendship opened its first campus in 1998 with a bold commitment to the children of Washington, DC. Over 25+ years we've added campuses, launched a virtual school, and built one of the city's most trusted PK–12 networks, while every campus retains its own principal, culture, and neighborhood identity.
